Diversity Drives Innovation

Robogals is a student-run non profit that wants to see a global culture of diversity and inclusion in engineering. We inspire, engage and empower young women into engineering and related fields.

Our Mission

We want to see a global culture of diversity and inclusion in engineering. So we work to inspire, engage and empower young women into engineering and related fields. Currently, only 11% of engineers within Australia are women. We believe this is a problem because diversity drives innovation. People with different perspectives offer different perspectives in the problem solving process. Robogals is a student-run, non-for-profit that aims to encourage female participation in engineering, science and technology fields. We aim to do this by teaching girls only and co-ed engineering workshops in schools and other venues all year round, focusing on inspiring, engaging and empowering young women to break down stereotypes in engineering at these workshops. We also support women through creating a community within university and identifying industry partners who care about diversity.
